Marcos Oliveira’s hospitality story begins in the Bronx, shaped by his Brazilian and Portuguese roots, and takes flight in 1994 when he landed his first hotel job as a pool attendant at the legendary Fontainebleau Hilton in Miami Beach. That first role sparked a love for serving people, and he never looked back.
Over the past 30 years, Marcos has worked with some of the biggest names in hospitality, Marriott, Hilton, Wyndham, Hyatt, and IHG, and has led teams in both large hotels and intimate boutique properties from Miami Beach to Montauk and the Hamptons. He even helped open Wyndham’s first nautically themed Maritime hotel, the Tryp Maritime Fort Lauderdale.
Marcos pairs deep operational know-how with a strong academic foundation. He holds both a B.S. and M.S. in Hospitality Management from Florida International University, focused on Lodging Operations and Revenue Management, plus a certificate from Cornell in Hotel Financial Analysis and Asset Management.
At The Indigo Road, Marcos leads our lodging portfolio with heart, discipline, and a belief that great hospitality starts with great teams. He’s focused on elevating operations, supporting our general managers, and shaping memorable guest experiences across every property.
Home for Marcos is Miami, where he lives with his wife, their four kids, and four dogs. Outside the hotel world, he loves fishing, baseball, retro video games, and any excuse to travel.
